Following the release of the 2020 UWA Crawley Campus Masterplan, the University has been actively considering a variety of options for its landholdings to ensure a comprehensive approach to planning for the future use of its sites and main campuses.

As part of this process, the University has been investigating potential alternate uses for its Nedlands campus and Park Avenue site.

The Planning Process

The University is pursing a planning process to investigate potential alternative uses of both the Nedlands Campus and Park Avenue site. This process will involve the development of a Masterplan to guide future use of the sites.

An expert team of consultants has been appointed and they will provide advice to the University throughout this process.

The Engagement Process

Since early 2022, the University has been engaging with staff, students and the community and invited them to register to participate in the process.

To facilitate the engagement, the University contracted an expert team of consultants, including independent community engagement consultants Creating Communities.

To date, stakeholders who have registered to participate have had the opportunity to engage in a range of activities including surveys, focus groups, workshops and drop-in sessions. These engagement activities have provided an opportunity to have their say and help shape the future use of the Nedlands campus and Park Avenue site.
